14 May	Club Life is a documentary series on Sky Sports that follows the trials and tribulations of three amateur cricket clubs for a season. It is broadcast during the Sunday lunch interval during Sky’s live Test match coverage of England and has become a popular part of our international coverage. This year, they have chosen Aberdeenshire Cricket Club, a Scottish national 1st division team with big ambitions and fantastic facilities, Lyton & Lynmouth from North Devon with arguably the most picturesque ground in the whole of the United Kingdom and Catford Wanderers, a fantastic sports club based in South East London. Viewers will be able to watch how the teams progress in their respective competitions, the characters within the teams, the hard work of those behind the scenes and much more. Often what happens off the pitch is as memorable as what happens on it. People often forget the enthusiasm for the game amongst those who play it at grass roots level. And of course the different nature of clubs; locations, support, conditions and so on. This series is a small, but eye-opening look at amateur cricket. For the clubs themselves, the exposure during our Test match coverage is great for the players, the supporters and volunteers.

8 Dec	Dartford have announced the sad death of of Don Wykes. His funeral is on Thursday 13th December at 1.30pm at Eltham Crematorium.
4 Dec	Bickley Park announce the sad the passing of Mr Tom Sowerby. Tom was a Bickley legend as player and officer he held many posts including that of President (1985-7) and was known to many as our fixture secretary for the last 27 years. His memorial service will take place on Friday 14th December 2007 at St George's Church Beckenham at 2pm. There will be refreshments in the Bickley Park CC pavilion afterwards.
4 Dec	Many of you who have been to Beckenham CC will in the past have been greeted by their larger than life barman, Eddie, who sadly died on Sunday morning. To raise funds the Club are organising an events day at the Club on Saturday 8th December. Of particular interest is an auction with some amazing items HERE - item 8 might be an ideal Christmas gift for an aspiring junior! If you would like to make a serious bid on any on any of these but cannot make the evening email me with your 'highest' bid and phone number and I will bid on your behalf on the night.

3 Sep	Bromley will carry 'the Kent League flag' on Saturday 15th September in the Shepherd Neame Southern Twenty/20 finals day at the County Ground Beckenham. They will play the Surrey winners (playing this Sunday) at 10.30 a.m. in the first semi final, followed by Saffron Walden v Finchley and then the final about 4.15 p.m. Shpeherd Neame have kindly invited to attend as their guests (lunch and refreshments all day) Committee Members of all Kent League Clubs. 3 Sep	Blackheath won the most amazing game versus Bromley by 1 run with a run out off the last ball of the game yesterday and so will play Ealing in the Evening Standard Final on September 16th at the Oval 11am start. It would be great to see as many friends from Kent clubs at the Oval - admission is free so please come along.
